How-to Guides
Create a CS account Start here if you need a computer science department account for the first time. You will need this to access CS machines, department-managed services, and other account-based tools used in classes and projects.
How to SSH into a CS machine Use this if you want terminal access to a CS machine from your own laptop or desktop. It is the most common starting point for working remotely on department systems.
Remote access for CS accounts This page covers additional remote access options beyond standard SSH, including cases where you need a fuller remote desktop style setup to use CS resources off campus.
